The Grand Island Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA) population 1/ increased from 67,300 in 1970 to 80,135 in 2010. That was an increase of 19.1 percent.
The foreign-born (FB) population increased from 4,633 in 2000 to 6,926 in 2010. That was an increase of 49.5 percent. The foreign-born share changed from 3.4 percent to 4.0 percent.
The share of the overall population that was native-born (NB) increased by 0.2 percent from 2000 to 2010.
